The Warehouse Manual, also referred to as the Manual, is an extensive record of nearly all Warehouse- and artifact-related information.
The Manual Room[]
TBA
Description[]
It is given to Warehouse agents to help explain the Warehouse in greater detail, inside can be found information on the layout of the Warehouse[1], information on specific artifacts[2][3][4], the Salinger Inventory Scanner[5], and other essential data; For example, it contains an explanation for why artifacts smell like fudge[6], information on the Warehouse's doctor can be found in Chapter 112, Section F, paragraph 3,[3] and Chapter 197 discusses the Neutralizer Processing Center.[1]
Certain pieces of information are not found in the manual, including content on the Bronze Sector, as a written record risks discovery and the potential of the Bronzing process being reversed.[2]
The Regents are known to add addendums to the Manual, as was the case when Walter Sykes manipulated the Warehouse's barrier to trap agents inside with the House of Commons Masonry's explosion; they later modified the Barrier, which draws its power from the Alpha Centauri star system, so that it can appear to stay in place but allow people to walk through by redirecting the telescope of the Innes Observatory to point at Uranus instead.[7]
History[]
When Pete displays his determined ignorance on this front whilst on an artifact hunt in Univille, South Dakota, Claudia invites him to "RTFM", which Pete correctly decrypts as read the manual - emphatically stated.[5]
In "Grand Designs", Pete begins reading the manual, and actually finds it more interesting than he thought it would be. It explains that Miguel de Cervantes' Windmill, previously used as a power source in the original Warehouse 13, was collected by Warehouse 10.
As revealed in "Endless", a room of unknown size houses the entirety of the Warehouse's manual, written over the course of it's existence spanning over two thousand years. Pete reads the manual (or at least parts of it) in an attempt to find a way to stop Hiram Abiff's Tools from moving the Warehouse to a new country.
