History[]

This bell was once installed in the door of a bakery in London, England by 1666. In being rung, it began the Great Fire of London.[1]

This bell later came into the possession of Catherine O'Leary by 1871, who had it worn by a cow she owned. It was activated in or near O'Leary's barn, and resulted in the Great Chicago Fire.[1]

Eventually the bell was acquired by Walter Sykes as part of his cache of artifacts he intended to use against Warehouse 13 and its members. When he began his final plan to infiltrate and then destroy Warehouse 13, he had Marcus Diamond move the cache (including the bell) to an unoccupied home in Devil's Lake, North Dakota that he owned under the name Mazzanti before Diamond went to Leena's Bed and Breakfast.[1][2]

Some time after Sykes' plan failed, Jesse Ashton discovered the cache and brought it to a local pawn shop to sell the artifacts for cash. The owner of the shop, after purchasing the bell, gave it a ring just as Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering arrived to investigate. Pete's vibes warned him of the impending explosion, giving him and Myka time to avoid getting injured.[1]
