The main artifact featured in Issue No. #5 of the Warehouse 13 comic book series.
Origin[edit | edit source]
Aphrodite (known as Venus in Roman mythology) was the Greek goddess of beauty, passion, procreation, and love, alternatively romantic, lustful, or a combination of the two. Although some cources claim her to be a primordial deity created at the beginning of the world with the Titans, her most common origin myth state that she was born from the sea foam created when the castrated genitals of Ouranos (Uranus in Roman) was tossed into the sea.
Effects[edit | edit source]
It is unknown whether the girdle works for any wearer, or if it can only be worn by women and used against men. When worn, the wearer can take on the appearance of a tall, beautiful blond woman capable of seducing any man they make eye contact with, rendering them incapable of thinking about anything but the wearer.
Use[edit | edit source]
This artifact was worn by Rachel Mahoney and used against Pete Lattimer during Viola Adair's survival game. As Pete was under her spell, he could not defend himself when she wielded a knife against him until Myka used Willem Jansz's Boomerang to cut the girdle off.
